How it works: The name of the dance is a link that will take you to Copperknob, which is a site that contains all the line dance step sheets submitted worldwide. Every day there are dozens of new step sheets being submitted, along with videos. There are over 139,450 step sheets to date.

Karen has been dancing since 1974, when she joined a teen square dance club that also did line dances, contra dancing, and cued ballroom dancing. In 1975 she and her brother took up teaching and calling square dancing, and quickly became known as the Canadian Kids and were hired as a team to run square dance events.

Between the square dances, Karen would teach line, contra and choreographed ballroom dancing (formerly known as Round Dancing).

About the Instructor

Karen met her husband Trevor on the dance floor in 1982, and they became avid ballroom dancers, dancing all over Canada and the USA. Having a dance partner, line dancing took a back seat for many years. As a snowbird, she joined an intermediate level line dance club in the US. She took up clogging as well, and soon was encouraged to teach both clogging and line dancing. She started choreographing line and clogging dances and her dances are now being danced worldwide.

In about 2010, Karen started a club in Cranbrook and offered lessons only during the months she was in Canada. Now that she is no longer a snowbird, dances are being sponsored by the City of Cranbrook and can be held all year (- July & August).
